For the latest ACC injury statistics ( To December 2008)...... Injury statistics are a vital tool to achieving the prevention of injuries. ACC use the information to analyse claim trends, identify priority areas to target and develop programmes to reduce the number and cost of injuries to New Zealanders. The Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) manages about 1.7 million injury claims every year. Below are some of the sections listed in the report that may be of the most interest. Section 14.
